Foothill Ranch, Calif., (October 30, 2007) – Arciero-Miller Racing (AMR) announced today that they have signed an agreement with Volkswagen of America to engineer, build and race a Factory based Touareg TDI for competition in the SCORE International Racing Series. The race vehicle will contend in the Trophy Truck Open Production – Unlimited Class. Set to hit the dirt in late 2008, this purpose built race vehicle will be able to tackle the rough and distinctive conditions of the Baja peninsula.

“AMR is excited about the forged relationship with Volkswagen. Clean diesel fuel technology will allow us to continue to make leaps and bounds into the future together and there is no other company that is on the leading edge of that technology but Volkswagen,” said Ryan Arciero, owner of AMR.

“When the Touareg’s came over to America to race the Baja 500, it was apparent that the engine performance in the TDI diesel power plant enabled the race vehicle to travel farther distances without refueling.” said Mark Miller, CEO of Arciero-Miller Racing. “We now have the ability to engineer a vehicle that will carry this technologically advanced engine while in housed in a body that will withstand the various challenges of the Baja terrain. “

Piloting the race vehicle will be AMR business partners Ryan Arciero and Mark Miller, both previous multiple Baja winners. Miller, a Factory Volkswagen driver is currently preparing for the 16-day 2008 Dakar Rally. In June of 2007, he put in a strong performance as he drove the Race Touareg 2 in the Baja 500, setting the record for best finishing time for a diesel fuel vehicle. Arciero set a world record for Volkswagen at the 2007 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the fastest time for an alternative fuel vehicle.

Foothill Ranch, Calif., (November 7, 2007) – With months of hard work and preparation behind them Arciero-Miller Racing (AMR) announced today that they are geared up and ready to compete for the win in one of the most unforgiving and toughest races in the world, the 40th running of the SCORE International Baja 1000. On November 13, 2007, AMR will contend this historic event in their No. 82 Nitto Tire Trophy Truck with professional drivers Ryan Arciero and Bob Shepard along with navigators Benny Metcalf Jr. and Scott Maloney. They will set out to showcase the raw high-performance of the No. 82 Trophy Truck and to challenge the brutal terrain of the Baja Peninsula with hopes of once again writing their names into the history books.

The vast landscape of Baja is expected to see more than 30 Trophy Truck competitors, a1296.39-mile course and upwards of 300,000 spectators. Each entrant is highly anticipating crossing the finish line in Cabo San Lucas with an overall victory in hand and the bragging rights of being the 40th Anniversary Baja 1000 Champion.

“I have been lucky enough to win this race three times previously with the last one in 2004. I am more ready and focused than ever before to get this Nitto Tire Truck to the front and keep it there all the way to the finish line,” said Ryan Arciero, co-owner of Arciero-Miller Racing. “We are hungry for this win and we will work day and night to ensure we are in the best position possible to bring home the victory.”

The three-time Baja 1000 Champion Ryan Arciero will take the start in Ensenada, Mexico, seated next to him will be long time friend and navigator, Benny Metcalf Jr. Arciero and Metcalf Jr. will command the Nitto Tire Trophy Truck to the halfway point of the course and then hand off the driving duties to co-driver, Bob Shepard and his navigator Scott Maloney.

“The No. 82 Nitto Tire Trophy Truck and the entire AMR team are ready to wage a battle against the rough terrain of Baja. Nitto has worked really hard to come up with a new tire specifically designed for this race and this course. We believe the new compound and tread pattern will give us an advantage in the twisty terrain as well as allowing us to sail through the silt beds and rock gardens that are synonymous with Baja,” said Don Tebbe, general manager of Arciero-Miller Racing.

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (July 12th, 2007) — Arciero-Miller Racing, one of the nations most accomplished off-road racing teams is gearing up to pull double duty for the month of July. This is the first time in Arciero-Miller Racing history that the team has entered two separate races in two different states coinciding on the same weekend. The team is competing in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the SCORE International Terrible’s Cup III in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Southern California based, Arciero-Miller Racing has once again partnered with Volkswagen of North American to race at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 21, 2007. Co-owners, Ryan Arciero and Mark Miller will be joined by special guest and factory KTM, Red Bull, Dakar Rally Bike rider, Chris Blais. Arciero, Miller and Blais will be racing up the world famous 14,110-foot summit in three identically prepared Volkswagen V10 TDI Touaregs.

“I am excited to once again get back behind the wheel at Pikes Peak and showcase what an impressive SUV the Touareg is. With the TDI diesel engine and some improvements to our tire package that Nitto Tire has made, our three VW Touaregs are a force to be reckoned with,“ said Mark Miller.

“Volkswagen has supplied us an incredible SUV with the Touareg. The performance of the TDI diesel power plant has given us such an advantage over most of the competition. It is such an honor to drive for a company like Volkswagen at one of the oldest races in the world,” said Ryan Arciero.

In 2006, Volkswagen and Arciero-Miller Racing wrote their names into the record books as all three factory machines stood atop the podium, sweeping their entire class. This year the ultra-low sulfur diesel and environmentally friendly Touaregs will be running in the High Performance Showroom stock class and the team is prepared to backup their record breaking year with another victory.

Along with the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Ryan Arciero and the Arciero-Miller team will be competing in the SCORE International Terrible’s Cup III on July 20th and 21st in the No. 82 Nitto Tire Trophy Truck. This will be the first time Arciero will race in the Terrible’s one and half mile short course event.

“I am looking forward to this type of event. The head to head racing is something that I thrive on, and I believe that our Nitto Tire Trophy Truck is a perfect match for this track,” remarked Arciero.

The Terrible’s Cup will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on the dirt track. With modifications to the track, fans will be up close and personal with drivers, teams and vehicles. They can also watch the entire race from the grandstands. This is unlike any SCORE race throughout the season, where normally fans only get a brief glimpse of the racing action and drivers are racing more against the clock than each other.

Being faced with challenges like an airplane being struck by lightning, a motorhome with no air conditioning in 100+ temperatures, and running on little sleep to no sleep would hinder most teams, but Arciero-Miller Racing has a goal of not just competing but winning.

Saturday, Mark Miller, Ryan Arciero and Chris Blais were finally able to race to the clouds in the 85th Annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb after a weeks worth of practice. Earlier in the week Chris Blais suffered a mechanical set back, however the team worked hard enabling Chris his first chance to race on four-wheels. Blais would be racing up the hill in the teams’ converted stock service Volkswagen Touareg, while Mark and Ryan would race in Turbo charged Volkswagen Touaregs. All three drivers would compete in the High Performance Showroom Stock division.

Chris was first off the starting line, climbing his way to the top of the 12.42 mile course. Ryan bolted off of the start line two minutes after Chris, with a goal of shattering his last years record time. He selecting good race lines and powering through the 156 turns, Ryan was able to catch and pass Chris while racing against the clock. Chris saw Ryan approach him in his rearview mirror and pulled over to the side, letting his teammate pass him. Mark followed Ryan two minutes later of the start line, pushing the Touareg to its fullest extent.

Ryan achieved his goal by crossed the finish line with a time of 13:17.703, over a minute faster than his last years run. Soon after Ryan, Chris crossed the line with a time of 15:48.312. Mark was the final Touareg to see the checkered flag with an amazing time of 13:25.247. Shortly after celebrating his class win, Ryan caught a train ride down the 14,110 foot hill, chartered a plane from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas to compete for the second night in the SCORE International Terrible’s Cup III at the Las Vegas International Motor Speedway.

Friday night at the Terrible’s Cup, Ryan took to the track at 7:00 pm for his first heat race, battling through the pack of Trophy Trucks on the short tight course for six laps to captured second-place. For the semi-main event, Ryan shot off the start line to waged combat against the 13 other trucks on the field. However, he was unable to duplicate his previous finish and finished in 12th position. Seated in the No. 82 Nitto Tire Trophy Truck, Arciero was ready to duplicate his early morning victory on Saturday. Ryan put in an amazing drive but found himself fighting more with his truck than with the others on the field. Ryan wrapped up Saturday night with a respectable seventh-place heat race finish and tenth-place semi-main finish.
